For their overview of the "13 Best Mattress-in-a-Box" brands, the editors of the Architectural Digest site Clever tested and reviewed a mattress from each company. Avocado's reviewer said the mattress delivery was a straightforward, clear process, and they rated the standard Green Mattress a 7 out of 10 in comfort: "I'd recommend it to those who enjoy a mattress that is firm, but not overly or uncomfortably so. I'd also recommend it to those who are sensitive to plastic and other man-made materials used in most mass-retailer mattresses."
