Our Zero Waste Collection is part of our mission to divert more than 90% of our waste from landfills — to raise the bar for what it means to be a sustainable brand.
UPCYCLED WOOD, CRAFTED IN CALIFORNIA
No particleboard. No fiberboard. Nothing hollow. We craft our Zero Waste Collection with upcycled wood. Beech is an abundant hardwood we source in the U.S. and is ideal for furniture — impact-resistant and durable. We're proud to craft our furniture, including our Zero Waste Collection, in our FSC®-certified Los Angeles woodshop, where we make everything to order with exceptional attention to quality, durability, and detail.
85% WASTE DIVERSION
In 2020, Avocado became the first bedding company to have its landfill waste diversion rated and validated by UL. By being intentional about our materials and manufacturing, we increased the amount of waste we diverted from landfills to an overall waste diversion rate of 85%. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate. Implementing zero-waste practices and reducing our environmental impact is essential if we want to make meaningful strides in the fight against climate change and ensure a better, healthier planet for future generations.
