THIS IS OUR PURPOSE

Most brands know what their products contain. Fewer know where those materials come from. Almost none can tell you who grew them, how the land was managed, what the workers were paid, or whether any of it was independently verified. We can. Because we built the supply chain ourselves. Farm to Mattress® is not a marketing concept. It is the operational reality of a company that co-owns its processing facilities, partners directly with farming communities, and holds independent certification at every stage — from the soil through the finished product. When you sleep on an Avocado mattress, every material in it has a traceable origin. That traceability is what makes every other claim in this report something other than marketing.

FROM OUR FARMS

Across tens of thousands of hectares of high-altitude Himalayan grassland in northern India, hundreds of thousands of sheep graze seasonal migration routes their flocks have traveled for centuries. Farming families tend these flocks as they have for generations — a traditional pastoral way of life whose health is inseparable from the health of the land. This is where our certified organic wool begins, sourced under the Responsible Wool Standard and entering Canada Organic Regime certification, the standard recognized as equivalent to USDA organic requirements.

Two thousand miles south, farmers walk among rows of rubber trees and harvest the sap that becomes our GOLS-certified organic latex. Our organic cotton is sourced from certified farms across Turkey, India, Canada, and North Carolina — a deliberately diversified network that maintains consistent organic standards while reducing dependence on any single region's growing season or climate conditions.

TO OUR FACTORIES

Raw materials become certified organic products through a supply chain we helped build and continue to operate. Our wool is cleaned and combed at our facility along the Sutlej River in northern India — using water and GOTS-approved agents only, never acid or harsh chemicals. From there it travels to our needle-punch factory, where up to 45,000 precision needles per loom slowly intertwine the fibers into the comfort and flame-barrier layers inside every mattress. Our co-owned latex processing facility in India converts harvested rubber sap into the GOLS-certified Dunlop latex cores at the heart of our products.

Every material then arrives at one of our two directly operated manufacturing facilities — our Fullerton, California factory, where every Avocado organic mattress is hand needle-tufted by a skilled bedmaker, and our Tecate, Baja California facility, where foundations and accessories are crafted under the same GOTS-certified standards. Both facilities are independently audited for environmental and labor compliance. Neither is a contract factory. Every person who builds our products is an Avocado employee.

NATURAL AS LOVE

Just as food is only as good as the farm it comes from, a mattress is only as clean as its supply chain. By building direct relationships with farmers, co-owning processing facilities, and eliminating unnecessary intermediaries, we maintain accountability at every point where a compromise could otherwise enter unnoticed.

The result is a product where the same standards that protect the land and the people who work it also protect the person sleeping on it. Certified organic farming keeps synthetic pesticides out of the soil, the watershed, and the finished product. Verified labor practices mean the people behind every layer of your mattress were treated fairly. Full supply-chain traceability means none of this is taken on faith. From our farms to our factories to your home — every dot is connected, every claim is verified, and the journey toward a planet that is safer, healthier, and more fair continues.
