The Little Blue Planet isn’t just any children's story, it was written to tell one of the most important topics of our time: climate change. Delightfully illustrated, this book offers a sage message of hope and encourages children to take part in protecting and respecting our Little Blue Planet — our one true home. All profits are donated to 1% for the Planet. For a little time, we'll include a copy of the book with every crib mattress purchase.
Our vision is a world united by sustainability and social responsibility. It’s truly why we exist. And we believe in educating and empowering our younger generations. We think change can start at home. On the inside of this book’s jacket, you will find an educational poster that can be read, discussed, and hung up at home or in the classroom as a reminder to live a little more green. This book is made with 100 percent renewable resources and has a verified net-zero carbon footprint.
All profits from The Little Blue Planet will be donated directly to 1% for the Planet. Together with the nonprofit, we’ve already made an impact, including fully funding an entire Women’s Center in Rwanda with Kula Project, planting 48,250 trees with the Arbor Day Foundation, launching a recycling and education program in Haiti with the Social Plastic Foundation, and rescuing 220,000 pounds of food for New Yorkers in need with City Harvest.
Once there was a Little Blue Planet, that didn’t seem so little when you stood on it. In fact, many thought it was endless, filled with plentiful resources. And the Little Blue Planet was proud to be able to give so much. Life was so wonderful on the Little Blue Planet. But soon, people started to forget to take care of it.
Over time, the Little Blue Planet got a little less blue, and a little less green, and a little more grey. But the people didn’t notice. The little planet still seemed so big to them, and they were too small to see the whole picture. So the planet tried to show them. It changed its weather, its air and its oceans, And then people began to notice.
We realized, the Little Blue Planet could only take care of us, If we took care of it. So we started to.
We started to treat the oceans, and the forests, and the great big sky like what they are: our home. We decided, if home is really where the heart is, we want to fill every corner of our Little Blue Planet with love.
This isn’t just any story. It’s a story that we’re all a part of, every day. And now we know, to take care of each other, we must first take care of our Little Blue Planet.
