A mini crib mattress is smaller than a standard crib mattress, making it a smart space-saving option for nurseries, apartments, or shared rooms. Our Eco Organic Mini Crib Mattress measures 37.5" long, 23.5" wide, and 5.10" high, and weighs just 14 pounds. In comparison, a standard crib mattress is about 52" long and 28" wide. While mini crib mattresses save space, they are designed to fit snugly and safely in mini cribs, providing the same comfort and protection as their larger counterparts.

The benefits of wool’s complex and natural physico-chemical structure are endless: it wicks away moisture, keeps your mattress smelling fresh, and acts as yet another all-natural fire barrier. It’s breathable — both warm and cool when you need it. Its natural crimp gives it bounce, body, and soft support characteristics. And it’s also non-allergenic (ideal for those who suffer from allergies to feather and down or synthetic bedding products) and a renewable resource. No additives or synthetics are added to the wool. We add a layer of pure, naturally crimped GOTS-certified organic wool surrounding the crib mattress. We do not blend rayon, polyester, or flame retarding chemicals with our wool. Our organic wool has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI) — which requires annual lab testing to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, including banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and dyes.

For a luxurious and premium finish, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU863637) in a soft, natural color blended with 3% elastane for functional stretch and enhanced durability—fully compliant with GOTS standards. This fabric is quilted over a generous layer of organic wool, supported by a thin, non-woven backing—added in accordance with GOTS accessory requirements—to prevent the wool from shifting or clumping and to keep natural fibers from working through the outer cotton over time. Our organic cotton has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (15.HIN.75800, Hohenstein HTTI) to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, including banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and dyes.

The crib mattress includes a 1” layer of coconut husk pad infused with latex. This layer is GOLS-certified organic and keeps the mattress cool while providing the comforting support your little one needs. We also add a 0.5-inch layer to the base to add extra cushioning and support. 

Made in our manufacturing facility, our lightweight coils support the mattress without making the bed too heavy. These premium springs float independently in a food-grade polypropylene fabric (non-woven and non-toxic) to improve airflow, support, and spinal alignment. The 160 coils are assembled using a safe and environmentally-conscious adhesive composed of tested components (Waxes: CAS 8002-74-2, Resin: CAS 8050-26-8, Antioxidant: CAS 6683-19-8, EVA Polymer: CAS 24937-78-8). Made from heat-treated and stress-relieved wire, these upcycled steel coils enable our mattress to deliver firm edge support throughout its lifespan. Furthermore, the finished innerspring unit meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, EWG Verified®, MADE SAFE®, GREENGUARD Gold, and Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verification standards, ensuring that it adheres to the highest safety and environmental benchmarks.

Our Eco Organic Mini Crib Mattress uses only GOTS-certified organic wool, which is naturally fire-resistant. This wool has also been tested for harmful substances and meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, MADE SAFE®, and EWG Verified® standards. No fiberglass or chemical flame retardants are used.

PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a group of man-made chemicals used in various industries worldwide. Known for their persistence in the environment and in the human body, they are often referred to as "forever chemicals." At Avocado, we're committed to ensuring our products are free from harmful levels of PFAS. Our mattresses have been rigorously tested using advanced techniques such as Liquid Chromatographic/Tandem Mass Spectrometer (LC/MS/MS) analysis and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis for 241 PFAS substances. This testing method is superior to generic organic fluorine screening tests, which can often be inaccurate and fail to detect specific PFAS compounds. A 10-year limited warranty covers the Eco Organic Mini Crib Mattress. All bunkie boards sold by Avocado have been specifically designed to meet the structural support requirements of this warranty if used correctly and unaltered.
