This is the firmest mattress we’ve ever made. Two layers of 14-gauge coils—far stronger and more durable than those of other brands—combined with high-density natural materials, provide a solid, stable sleep surface that resists sagging and delivers ergonomic alignment, even under heavier weights. Because more coils mean more support, it proudly features up to 2,112 individually wrapped coils (King size), which also improves responsiveness and pressure distribution. While the feel softens slightly for the heaviest sleepers, it remains definitively firm (10 out of 10) for lasting support for back and stomach sleepers. Side sleepers can add an Organic Mattress Topper for added contouring and cushioning.

The Extra Firm Mattress is the only extra firm, heavy-duty mattress that’s certified organic. It’s crafted with GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex, along with GOTS-certified organic wool and cotton, and needle-tufted by hand for exceptional durability. Avocado is the only OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 innerspring mattress currently available, ensuring the highest standards for health and safety.

Instead of polyurethane foams, Avocado mattresses feature GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex (CU 863637) rubber foam from sustainably harvested from our facilities in India and Guatemala.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC WOOL
Our GOTS-certified organic wool (CU 863637) does what other materials cannot — it wicks away moisture, stays fresh, and acts as a natural fire barrier. It’s also anti-microbial, resistant to dust mites, and offers natural temperature control to help you sleep cool.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON
Our luxurious, button-tufted mattress covers are made with breathable GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU 863637) — one of the softest and most comfortable fabrics. Organic cotton is cool, wicks away moisture, and, better still, is more sustainable than conventional cotton.
EXTRA COOL
No heat-trapping memory foams here or gimmicky cooling chemicals. Instead, we use breathable organic Dunlop latex (D65), ventilated with hundreds of small airflow channels, firm coconut husk pads infused with natural latex, and organic wool to wick away moisture and keep you cool, naturally. Better temperature regulation means better and more natural sleep.

At just 10.5 inches tall, the Extra Firm Mattress offers a streamlined, modern silhouette—a refreshing alternative to the oversized, bulky mattresses commonly marketed to heavier individuals. Its lower profile is ideal for platform beds, minimalist interiors, or those who simply prefer a cleaner, more intentional aesthetic. It’s especially favored by athletes and by those who prefer firm, supportive, lower-profile sleep surfaces for optimal spinal alignment.
STRONG SUPPORT
Our Heavy Duty Foundation is engineered to support up to 2,000 lbs, featuring four interior rails (two on each side) for added stability, and up to 12 removable legs, allowing it to stand alone or fit inside a bed frame. It features thicker, more closely spaced slats to reduce sagging, improve airflow, and extend mattress life, making it the ideal companion to our Extra Firm Mattress.
