Our Mid-Century Modern Lounge Chair and Ottoman is handmade in our woodshop in Los Angeles. The Lounge Chair will ship via FedEx ship via Doorstep Delivery. In-home delivery and setup are optional within the continental United States only. Furniture is not currently available to ship to Alaska and Hawaii. In-home setup does not include hauling away your old furniture. Our shipping provider will contact you directly to schedule your delivery. At this time, furniture and mattress and/or bedding orders can not be coordinated to arrive at the same time.

We construct our lounge chair and ottoman with solid walnut or maple wood. Walnut and maple are more sustainable timber choices because of their abundance and shorter lifespan. Both are durable, long-lasting hardwoods — an ideal choice for furniture. Order a wood sample.

We make our GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex from our co-owned farms in India, operating under the USDA's National Organic Program. It's made with ≥95% organic certified material, the highest possible standard. Dunlop latex is naturally antimicrobial, cooler than memory foam, and requires no adhesives to seam it together. It is processed in our GOLS-certified organic facilities in India and Guatemala. To be extra thorough, our latex is even eco-INSTITUT label certified, a certification for products fulfilling the strictest requirements on pollutants and emissions following the latest state-of-the-art international research and science.

Our upholstered cushion covers are made from alpaca fiber. Alpaca is warmer and stronger than sheep's wool and grows naturally in different shades.

We finish each piece with Walrus Oil® from their Furniture Maker Master Kit — a trusted, American-made wood finish created with natural, food-safe ingredients, such as polymerizing oils and plant waxes. Free from harmful chemicals, VOCs, and synthetics, it aligns perfectly with Avocado’s mission to create safe, sustainable, and healthy home products.

Most aging in wood furniture happens within the first year. We want you to live comfortably with your furniture — don’t worry about small scuffs or marks. They’re part of its charm and story. With a touch of care, your piece can be refreshed and restored to maintain its natural beauty and integrity for decades to come.

Our assembly utilizes Titebond® wood glues, which are safe and produce no harmful fumes. They meet the requirements of ASTM D4236 for safe use with arts and crafts and have both been approved for indirect food contact.

We operate our own woodshop — in a facility completely separate from our mattress factory, in Los Angeles — which produces wood dust. Read California's required Proposition 65 warning for wood dust.

Wood bed frames, upholstered headboards, chairs, and furniture can be returned within 30 days. A restocking fee applies to all returnable furniture, but it is waived for exchanges of equal or greater value. Shipping fees and optional in-home setup services are non-refundable. Please review our return policy. Our 10-year product warranty covers defects in workmanship. Please note that natural wood products may display blemishes, knots, or other imperfections as a testament to their age, unique character, and distinctive beauty.

We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends in landfills — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. But we aren't done yet. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate.
