However, we also realize that sometimes practicality trumps all else. That’s why we made this GOTS-Certified Organic Waterproof Mattress Protector. The fitted, lightweight pad is machine-washable and protects your mattress from stains, odors, everyday moisture, and life’s little accidents. The waterproof polyurethane layer derived from cornstarch is thin, so you sleep cool without a plastic-like crinkle or a rubbery noise. Plus, it’s sandwiched by two soft organic cotton layers.

Our protector uses an ultra-thin, flexible waterproof barrier designed for everyday moisture protection — without the density, noise, or stiffness of traditional plastic covers. To meet GOTS organic standards, we minimize synthetic materials by pairing a breathable, waterproof layer with GOTS-certified organic cotton, which supports airflow, comfort, and quieter sleep. No rigid plastic encasements are used.
WHY ORGANIC MATTERS
Conventional cotton is a polluted crop. So we use organic cotton for the two absorptive layers sandwiching the waterproof barrier, as well as on the fitted elastic skirt. Best of all, organic cotton delivers a luxurious and soft finish, breathes easily, and wicks away moisture better than any synthetic.
EASY CARE
Our waterproof protector is meant to be washed before use. That's because the organic certified cotton will shrink. It may take multiple washes until it's the perfect fit for your mattress. For future washes, simply spot clean or machine wash using an eco-conscious laundry detergent. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on low, or just air it out on the line until completely dry.

Our Organic Waterproof Mattress Protector is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions and Formaldehyde Free certified by UL Environment. That means the mattress protector is scientifically proven to meet some of the world's most rigorous third-party emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, and phthalates. The mattress protector is also MADE SAFE® Certified, so you can trust all the materials we use are free from ingredients linked to or suspected to cause harm to humans, animals, or ecosystems.
