SOLID WOOD MEETS SUSTAINABLE, MODERN DESIGN
Elevate your bathroom. Our Wooden Towel Ladder provides a natural, elegant way to hang towels. A small walnut shelf is perfect for a small plant or other decorative items. We handcraft our bathroom ladder with 100% American Beech wood — a sustainable hardwood — and a zero-VOC, non-toxic varnish in our innovative FFSC® C156318 Los Angeles woodshop. And, consistent with the values driving Avocado, we build our furniture to meet the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. Our ladder is an entirely carbon negative product — Avocado is a Climate Neutral Certified company — and we donate 1% of sales to vetted nonprofits through our partnership with 1% For the Planet.
MODERN DESIGN, HANDCRAFTED IN LA
Our Wooden Towel Ladder has a modern aesthetic that will warm any room. Its rounded edges and light tones, along with a darker, contrasting walnut shelf, give the ladder an entirely unique look. And we're proud to craft it in our innovative, FSC® C156318 Los Angeles woodshop with American timber. An FSC® certified company manages forests in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
Above the third rung, we added a small shelf made from solid walnut. It's perfect for stacking towels or placing succulents or other decorative elements. We stain the shelf with a contrasting darker hue, adding to the unique, modern charm of the ladder.
A GREENER CHOICE
Furniture paints and finishes are among the leading causes of indoor air pollution because they emit VOCs (volatile organic compounds). In fact, the Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and particle board that are commonly used in furniture construction often contain known carcinogens, such as Urea-formaldehyde or Phenol-formaldehyde. Our Wooden Towel Ladder is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions and Formaldehyde Free certified by UL Environment. That means the ladder is scientifically proven to meet some of the world's most rigorous, third-party emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants, such as VOCs, formaldehyde, and phthalates.
As members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, you can rest assured that our Wooden Towel Ladder is consistent with healthy, environmental-friendly living.
PAIR WITH OUR ORGANIC TOWELS
Our Organic Bath Towels have a premium, lavish texture. Their weighty depth makes them highly absorbent and durable. A ribbed design gives them an elegant look with fast-drying power. And they’re stitched entirely from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton (CU863637). In fact, they're even MADE SAFE® Certified — a rigorous scientific screening process that only allows the use of ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems.
THE PURE BEAUTY OF SOLID WOOD
A lot of furniture is mass-made with cheap particle board, synthetic laminates, or veneers. Each piece looks exactly the same. That's not how we make our Wooden Towel Ladder. We individually handcraft each one with solid wood. We believe in letting the rich character of the wood speak for itself. This way, every piece is original, with its own slight variations. It costs a little more to do things this way. But our customers love having unique, durable, thoughtfully crafted furniture that will last generations.
CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED FOR NO EMISSIONS
Avocado is a Certified B Corporation and a carbon negative business. That means we work with Climate Neutral Certified to voluntarily measure, reduce, and offset more than 100% of our emissions, from resource extraction all the way to shipping, by supporting carbon offset projects through the Bonneville Environmental Foundation. Our offset projects help mitigate climate change and support innovation in addressing greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

Shipping & Delivery
We handcraft Our Wooden Towel Ladders in our FSC® C156318 woodshop in Los Angeles with domestically sourced Beech wood. The ladder ships via FedEx fully assembled. At this time, our woodshop products and mattress and/or bedding orders can not be coordinated to arrive at the same time.
Solid Wood Construction
We use 100% solid Beech wood to construct our Wooden Towel Ladders. Beech wood is a sustainable hardwood with well-managed growth, and it's not endangered, making it an eco-friendly choice. It is also grown in North America, reducing the carbon impact from associated transportation.
We do not use traditional lacquers or varnishes, which typically contain harsh chemicals and have strong chemicals that can cause headaches, nausea, and respiratory issues. Instead, our towel ladder uses a zero-VOC ECOS® wood stain, which is organic, non-toxic, and odor-free. It conforms to CDPH 01350 (VOC emissions test taken at 11, 12, & 14 days for classroom and office use), as well ASTMD-4236, specifically concerning oral toxicity, skin irritation, and respiratory effects.
Safe, Odorless Glues
Our assembly utilizes Titebond® wood glues, which are safe and produce no harmful fumes. They meet the requirements of ASTM D4236 for safe use with arts and crafts and have both been approved for indirect food contact.
