Each material is responsibly and sustainably harvested in India, exclusively for us, without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. This is better for your child — and the planet.

Our Avocado Organic Crib Mattress is certified to MADE SAFE® standards — a rigorous scientific process that screens for the use of ingredients that are known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems. Of course, the certification prohibits the use of flame retardants and fiberglass in the crib mattress.

Our crib mattress is Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verified and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions from UL. It’s also a GOTS-certified organic product, which means the entire supply chain of each material within the mattress has met the strictest standard for ecological and social responsibility.

HANDMADE IN CALIFORNIA
Our Organic Crib Mattress is made in our GOTS-certified factory in Los Angeles with domestic and imported materials. Those certifications validate that we provide our factory team with fair wages, comprehensive benefits, and safe working conditions. GOTS prohibits toxic chemicals identified by their standards commonly used in textile processing that can cause cancer, birth defects, and other serious illnesses.

ON THE FIRM SIDE
Intended for use from newborn to one year, the infant side of our Organic Crib Mattress is firmer by design to provide the support your baby needs in this pivotal time of growth. It features a firm, tightly quilted pattern of GOTS-certified organic cotton on top of the base support of coconut husk fiber infused with GOLS-certified organic latex.
TRANSITION TO THE TODDLER SIDE
Designed for use from year one up to year four, the toddler side of our Organic Crib Mattress is slightly more plush while still providing the support your growing child needs as they move and fidget throughout the night. It features a supportive layer of GOLS-certified organic latex, 0.5-inch coconut husk, and GOTS-certified organic cotton for added breathability and buoyancy.
PAIR WITH OUR ORGANIC COTTON MATTRESS PADS
We don't use a waterproof plastic or polyurethane layer. Instead, we created a quilted, GOTS-certfied organic cotton protector pad. Hand-sewn in our Los Angeles workshops, these pads are moisture-resistant and stay snugly in place with four elastic corner straps. How many do we recommend? The time-honored mother’s axiom says it best: “Three. One for the bed, one for the wash, and one for the shelf.” Can you use a third-party waterproof protector? Yes, of course.
