NEW! Organic Crib Mattress
AMAZINGLY AFFORDABLE,NON-TOXIC, & TOTALLY ORGANIC
No petroleum-based polyurethane foams, no chemical adhesives, no vinyl waterproofing, polyethylene, or flame retardant chemicals. Just pure, healthy, natural materials — at an affordable price. That’s the ideal of our Organic Crib Mattress, with a GREENGUARD Gold certification and a coconut fiber that’s infused with our 100% GOLS organic certified latex and 100% GOTS organic certified wool and cotton. The result is a gentle, delicate feel that’s supportive, breathable, and soothing for your little one.
ORGANIC SLEEPS BETTER
Organic cotton, wool, and latex are more durable, luxurious, and breathable. Synthetic fibers and cotton grown with pesticides can be stuffy, not to mention hazardous to your health and environmentally damaging. That’s why we use 100% GOLS organic certified latex and 100% GOTS organic certified wool and cotton. Each material is responsibly and sustainably harvested in India exclusively for us without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. This is better for your child, the environment, and our farmers.
DUAL-SIDED FOR LONG LASTING USE
We designed our Organic Crib Mattress with two levels of firmness. That means your little one will have the bed they need to support their growth for years. One side of the mattress is specifically made for infants, the other for toddlers. Our Organic Crib Mattress gives you piece of mind that you won’t have to worry about another mattress for your little one for years to come.
MADE SAFE CERTIFIED
Our Avocado Organic Crib Mattress is MADE SAFE® Certified — a rigorous scientific screening process that only allows the use of ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems. The certification prohibits all use of harmful substances, such as flame retardants, everywhere in the crib mattress.
You can trust that our Organic Crib Mattress is free from nasty materials that could impact your baby’s health. That’s because the crib mattress is certified Formaldehyde Free and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions. It’s also a GOTS organic certified product, which means the entire supply chain of each material within the mattress has met the strictest standard for ecological and social responsibility.
FROM OUR FARMS
Our organic certified latex and wool come from our own sustainable farms and are processed in our own organic certified facilities. The vision of our Farm to Mattress concept is to ensure safe, healthy materials — and environmental responsibility. By removing the middlemen, we’re able to work symbiotically with farmers and offer products that are better quality and more affordable, while fostering land stewardship and local relationships that enhance communities.Watch FARM TO MATTRESS
HANDMADE IN CALIFORNIA
Our Organic Crib Mattress is made in our GOTS and GOLS organic certified factory in Los Angeles. Those certifications validate that we provide our factory team with fair wages, comprehensive benefits, and safe working conditions. GOTS also prohibits the use of the kinds of toxic chemicals commonly used in textile processing that can cause cancer, birth defects, and other serious illnesses. Of course, by using certified organic materials, we also protect the environment, our factory team, and you.Watch MADE IN LOS ANGELES
START YOUR BABYON THE FIRM SIDE
Intended for use from newborn to one year, the infant side of our Organic Crib Mattress is firmer by design to provide the support your baby needs in this pivotal time of growth. It features a firm, tightly quilted pattern of 100% GOTS organic certified cotton knit on top of the base support of coconut husk fiber infused with GOLS organic certified latex.
TRANSITION TO THE TODDLER SIDE
Designed for use from year one up to year four, the toddler side of our Organic Crib Mattress is slightly more plush, while still providing the support your growing child needs as they move and fidget throughout the night. It features a supportive layer of 100% GOLS organic certified latex, plus an additional layer of 100% GOTS organic certified cotton for added breathability and buoyancy.
PAIR WITH OUR ORGANIC COTTON MATTRESS PADS
We don't use a waterproof plastic or polyurethane layer. Instead, we created a quilted, 100% GOTS organic certified cotton protector pad. Hand-sewn in our Los Angeles workshops, these pads are moisture-resistant and stay snugly in place with four elastic corner straps. How many do we recommend? The time-honored mother’s axiom says it best: “Three. One for the bed, one for the wash, and one for the shelf.” Can you use a third-party waterproof protector? Yes, of course.

MADE SAFE® Certified
The dual-sided Avocado Green Crib Mattress is the perfect healthy complement to your child’s sleep routine, designed to fit inside any standard crib. Intended for use from newborn to one year, the infant side is more firm by design to provide the support your baby needs in this pivotal time of transition and growth. It features a supportive, firm 1-inch layer of GOLS organic certified latex and is finished with a quilted pattern of GOTS organic certified cotton. Intended for use from one year to four years, the toddler side is slightly more plush, while still allowing for the support of your growing child as they move and fidget throughout the night.
100% GOLS Organic Certified Latex
We use Dunlop latex in our mattresses because it is more eco-conscious than Talalay latex, which requires more processing. We make our own GOLS organic certified Dunlop latex from co-owned farmer's societies in India, operating under the USDA's National Organic Program. It's made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard. Dunlop latex is naturally antimicrobial, cooler than memory foam, requires no adhesives to seam it together, and is more durable than Talalay latex. It is processed in a GOLS organic certified facility in India that we also co-own. The Avocado Organic Crib Mattress features 1 inch of firm (D75) organic latex. We do not use blended or synthetic latex. There are no seams to break down over time, and no chemical adhesives are used to bind the layers. Plus, our GOLS organic certified latex has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (19.HIN.79546, Hohenstein HTTI) — which requires annual lab testing to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, to include banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides and dyes.
100% GOTS Organic Certified Wool
The benefits of wool’s complex and natural physio-chemical structure are endless: it wicks away moisture, keeps your mattress smelling fresh, and acts as yet another all-natural fire barrier. It’s breathable — both warm and cool when you need it. Its natural crimp gives it bounce, body, and soft support characteristics. And it’s also non-allergenic (ideal for those who suffer allergies to feather and down or synthetic bedding products) and a renewable resource. No additives or synthetics are added to the wool. We add a layer of pure, naturally crimped 100% GOTS organic certified wool surrounding the entire crib mattress. We do not blend any rayon, polyester, or flame retarding chemicals with our wool. Our organic wool has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI) — which requires annual lab testing to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, to include banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and dyes.
100% GOTS Organic Certified Cotton Knit
For a luxurious and premium finish, we use 100% GOTS organic certified cotton in a soft, natural color. Our organic cotton, which we use for a gentle, breathable cover, is responsibly and sustainably harvested in India exclusively for us without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Our organic cotton has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (15.HIN.75800, Hohenstein HTTI), to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, to include banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and dyes. Even the green thread used in the stitching and logo embroidery is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified (94.0.6007, Hohenstein HTTI). Reinforced edge seams are double stitched and four heavy-duty upholstered handles complete the package.
Coconut Husk Pad
The base of the infant side includes a firm and breathable 3-inch coconut husk fiber pad that's infused with the latex, wool, and cotton. Coconut husks are a renewable material. This layer is 100% GOLS organic certified and keeps the mattress cool while providing the comforting support your little one needs.
Use only a fitted bottom sheet that is specifically made for crib use, along with a mattress pad and/or a waterproof pad. Do not place stuffed animals, pillows, quilts, or comforters in the crib while your baby is sleeping, as they may prevent proper air circulation around your baby’s face.
Side of crib removed for display/photographic purposes only. Cribs should be fully enclosed to ensure safe and secure sleep for your little one.
Warranty & Return Policy
The Avocado Organic Crib Mattress is covered by a 30-night trial. Stained, unsanitary, or damaged crib mattresses are not eligible for return under the 30-night trial. Returns are processed in accordance with the terms of our Sleep Trial Policy. Each crib mattress is covered by a 25-Year Limited Warranty.

Learn More About Our Carbon Negative Initiatives
A law label is a legally required tag or label on new mattresses that describes the interior filling materials. Few companies will share this information prior to your purchase because it separates fact from marketing hype. We believe differently. Here's what the legal tag on the standard Avocado Green Mattress actually says: Made in California with internal materials (based on weight) consisting of Natural Latex (58%), Natural Wool Fiber (42%), plus a 100% Organic Cotton Cover. Note: NO polyurethane foams, NO memory foams, NO synthetic foams, NO latex blends, NO chemical adhesives, NO vinyl, No Polyurethane, No PLU, and NO chemical flame retardants or synthetic fire barriers are used.

PLASTIC OCEANS INTERNATIONAL
People buy 500 billion plastic water bottles worldwide every year. More than 90 percent of all plastics are never recycled. The result? Eight million tons of plastic dumped in the oceans annually. The consequences are devastating — diminished ecosystems and wildlife as well microplastics in our own food and water systems. That’s why Plastic Oceans International is on a mission to end plastic pollution. Through advocacy, activism, education, and science, the nonprofit hopes to change the world’s attitude toward plastic and thereby influence public policy and consumer and corporate behavior.
