LEVEL UP YOUR PRACTICE
Although a few premium mats use organic cotton, our Organic Yoga Mat is one of the only GOTS certified organic (CU861640) mats on the market made entirely from organic cotton and latex. The top layer’s woven, textured fabric absorbs and wicks away moisture — especially essential during hot yoga. And the mat’s anti-skid bottom is made from GOLS certified organic Dunlop latex that’s sustainably sourced from renewable rubber trees. The mat’s thickness delivers stability for active or balancing poses, as well as a cushioning base for forearm and kneeling poses and for yogis with tender knees and joints.
ORGANIC, BREATHABLE, MACHINE-WASHABLE
Bend, flow, and stretch without slipping, sliding, or bunching your mat. Natural, organic materials are more breathable — ideal for yoga. And the mat’s textured cotton fabric delivers traction and grip to help you maintain balance and proper alignment during sweaty yoga classes. You don’t have to wipe down the mat after your practice, either. When you’re done, simply air it out and roll it up. It's also machine-washable in cold water. Tumble or line dry for best results.
NON-SLIP CERTIFIED ORGANIC LATEX
We never use polyurethane foam, synthetic rubbers, adhesives, or other fossil-fuel derivatives. Instead, we craft our Organic Yoga Mat’s anti-slip base with GOLS certified natural rubber base to ensure it’ll stay in place through every down dog, warrior, and cobra pose. The natural latex comes from rubber trees in tropical regions. Farmers tap the trees for their rubber polymer sap, which they process naturally. Compared to synthetic foams, natural latex takes less energy to produce, lasts longer, and eliminates health concerns correlated with synthetic materials.
WHY ORGANIC IS BETTER
Savasana in comfort knowing your yoga mat is non-toxic, soft, and sustainable. Our Organic Yoga Mat is a certified organic product. Is organic worth it? Absolutely. Organic materials are held to a stricter standard — produced without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. This is better for you as well as our family farmers. Best of all, organic cotton breaths easily and wicks away moisture better than any synthetic alternative. Our yoga mat is a completely natural product that's recyclable and biodegradable.
PERFECT FOR HOT AND POWER YOGA
No yoga towel needed. Whether you sweat a lot or not, if you’re doing sun salutations in a studio heated from 95 to 115 degrees, chances are you're going to be dripping. That’s why we designed our Organic Yoga Mat to be a mat and a towel in one. The wetter the mat gets, the better the grip becomes, ensuring it doesn’t slide or bunch. We suggest lightly spraying a dry mat with water at the start of class.
CERTIFIED NON-TOXIC
Synthetic yoga mats are made with petroleum-based chemicals and can impact your breathing and health. But our Organic Yoga Mat is MADE SAFE® Certified — a rigorous scientific screening process that only allows the use of ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems. That means this is one of the most chemical-free yoga mats you can buy anywhere, at any price.

Care
Air your mat by hanging it outside. Machine or hand wash in lukewarm or cold water. Use soap scarcely. Do not bleach or use fabric softeners. Do not dry clean. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Spinning during a machine wash will reduce the required drying time. Tips: Washing or tumble drying rejuvenates the cushioning of the mat. Adding essential oil while washing or drying can add a fresh aroma to the mat.
GOTS Organic Certified Cotton
For a luxurious and premium finish, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton. We do not use polyester fiber. Responsibly and ethically sourced from India, this durable textile provides an ideal exterior to our Organic Yoga Mat.
GOLS-CERTIFIED ORGANIC LATEX
We use GOLS-certified Dunlop latex in our mattresses because it is more eco-conscious than Talalay latex, which requires more processing. We make our own GOLS organic certified latex from co-owned farmer's societies and processing facilities in India and Guatemala, operating under the USDA's National Organic Program. It's made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard. Dunlop latex is naturally antimicrobial, cooler than memory foam, requires no adhesives to seam it together, and is more durable than Talalay latex. It is processed in a GOLS organic certified facility in India that we also co-own.
Warranty
The Organic Yoga Mat is covered by a 30-day trial (subject to our Trial Policy Terms) and a 1-Year Warranty.
Climate Neutral Certified
As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.
Project Zero Waste
We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. We're we aren't done yet. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate. Read more about Project Zero Waste.
