WHERE IT ALL STARTED
In 2019, we opened a small storefront at 12 Hudson Place — our very first. Before then, Avocado lived entirely online. Hoboken is where we learned what it means to invite people in: to let them lie down on an organic mattress, learn about the certified organic materials of our mattresses, run a hand over reclaimed wood, and ask us anything. Every Avocado experience center since has been built on what we learned there.

Our Flatiron Experience Center is our most immersive space: certified organic mattresses, bedding, pillows, and reclaimed-wood furniture, plus our 4D Sleep Experience — an audiovisual demonstration of what a night on an Avocado mattress actually feels like, and where the materials inside it come from. There's a café, a custom textile installation made from Avocado mattress materials, and room to spread out. Clean linens for every guest. Rest. Relax. Chill. No one at the store is on commission.

Our Williamsburg Experience Center sits a block from the waterfront, on one of North Brooklyn's best walking blocks. Inside: certified organic mattresses and toppers, sheets and throws, reclaimed-wood furniture, and other sustainable products. Airy, plant-filled, full of natural light — the ideal version of a home, which is exactly what we were going for.
