UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY, EXTRAORDINARY BEAUTY, UNPARALLELED SUSTAINABILITY

Our Malibu Wood Nightstand is uncompromising. We use solid maple or walnut and matte-gold handles to build the nightstand. The natural patina of the solid wood delivers a warm, elegant beauty. The hardwood is also incredibly durable, eco-friendly, and resilient. Our craftsmanship includes soft-close drawers and dovetail joints that provide exceptional quality and strength. We build it all in our facility in Los Angeles, where we marry traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology. We only use safe, non-toxic glues and finishes. W build the Malibu Wood Nightstand with the sustainability mission powering Avocado Green Brands at its forefront. Our woodshop’s FSC® certification validates that we meet the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility. Free delivery and in-home setup included.

SOLID MAPLE OR WALNUT

Because of their abundance, maple and walnut are some of the most sustainable timbers. They are also hardwoods, so they're extremely durable and long-lasting. And unlike many furniture companies that use particle board, veneers, or synthetic laminates, at Avocado, we individually handcraft all our furniture with solid wood. We believe in letting the rich character of the wood speak for itself. This way, every piece is original, with its own slight variations. It costs a little more to do things this way. But our customers love having unique, durable, thoughtfully crafted furniture that will last generations.

MADE IN LA WITH REMARKABLE CRAFTSMANSHIP

We consider every detail in the Malibu Wood Nightstand. From the high-quality birchwood soft-close drawers to the dovetail joints that add durability and strength, our sturdy, real wood nightstand is both elegant and exceptionally well-made — a true heirloom that will last generations. We don’t mass produce these nightstands — they’re made to order for you in our FSC®-certified woodshop in Los Angeles.

COMPLETE THE SET WITH OUR MALIBU BED FRAME AND DRESSER

Complete your bedroom with our matching Malibu Platform Bed Frame and Malibu Wood Dresser. Like the nightstand, we craft the bed frame and dresser in Los Angeles with sustainably-harvested timber that lights up the room. Their elegance and exceptional craftsmanship is unmatched.

NATURAL + NON-TOXIC

Furniture paints and finishes are among the leading causes of indoor air pollution. Many are toxic and emit VOCs. In fact, the Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and particle board commonly used in furniture construction often contain known carcinogens such as Urea-formaldehyde or Phenol-formaldehyde. Our Malibu Wood Nightstand is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions and Formaldehyde Free certified by UL Environment. That means the nightstand is scientifically proven to meet some of the world's most rigorous, third-party emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants, such as VOCs, formaldehyde, and phthalates.

CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED

CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED

As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.

PROJECT ZERO WASTE

PROJECT ZERO WASTE

Avocado is always seeking innovative ways to be more sustainable — while never compromising the luxury feel of our products. From materials to manufacturing and shipping, we understand that every small decision contributes to our larger impact. Implementing sustainable, zero-waste practices is essential if we want to make meaningful strides in the fight against climate change. In 2022, by being intentional about our materials and manufacturing, we expanded our production facility footprint from two to five while still increasing the amount of waste we diverted from landfills by 9%, achieving an overall waste diversion rate of 78%. Our goal is at least an 80% diversion rate. Read more about Project Zero Waste.
