Finally, a Certified Organic, Supportive Wedge Pillow

Is there anything a wedge pillow can’t do? Made in Los Angeles from 100% GOLS certified (CU863637) organic Dunlop Latex, our Organic Latex Wedge Pillow offers soft, pressure-relieving support for your head and neck or legs while you sleep, read, relax in bed, or work. The pillow’s gentle slope improves circulation, reduces snoring, and alleviates back pain. We cover the wedge pillow in a GOTS certified (CU 863637) organic cotton cover that delivers superior durability. And because we make the pillow entirely from the finest natural materials, you can rest easy knowing it’s non-toxic and never includes harmful chemicals, glues, adhesives, or flame retardants.

FIRMLY SUPPORTIVE MOLDED LATEX CORE

NATURAL DUNLOP LATEX

Most bedding companies make their wedge pillows with polyurethane foam or synthetic gel memory foam. Not at Avocado. We craft our Organic Latex Wedge Pillow entirely from GOLS certified organic and FSC (C156318) certified Dunlop latex that we source from our own sustainable rubber tree farms. Organic Dunlop latex provides best-in-class breathability, support, and durability — it’s also antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, and bacteria-resistant. Even better, we process our natural latex without the use of harmful chemicals in organic-certified facilities that are held to stringent standards.

BREATHABLE COTTON COVER

BREATHABLE COTTON

We stitch our eco-friendly cover with GOTS certified organic cotton. Inside, a breathable organic cotton liner keeps dust mites at bay. The layers are naturally hypoallergenic and wick away moisture better than anything synthetic. Organic cotton isn’t just a higher-functioning material. Conventional cotton is a polluted crop, while organic cotton is held to a stricter standard. Ours is ethically grown in India without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. This is better for you, our family farmers, and the planet.

ORGANIC CERTIFIED COTTON COVER

EASY TO CLEAN, REMOVABLE COVER

The pillow’s organic cotton cover features an easy-to-use zipper, making it simple to remove and wash. Its natural materials also make it more resilient than plastic or silicone, so it’ll stand up to regular washes and inevitable stains and spills. Machine wash the cover in cold water and lay flat or hang to dry.

OFFSETTING CARBON'S IMPACT

CARBON NEGATIVE

In 2019, Avocado Green became one of the first Climate Neutral Certified, companies, effectively making our business carbon neutral. A year later, we went carbon negative — offsetting more carbon emissions than the company generates. Avocado works with Climate Neutral to reduce its emissions and voluntarily offset more than 100% of the rest by supporting carbon offset projects through the Bonneville Environmental Foundation. Our offset projects help mitigate climate change and support innovation in addressing greenhouse gas emissions reductions. But we know offsets aren’t enough. That’s why we also advocate for legislation that will mitigate climate change and protect people and the planet.

PROJECT ZERO WASTE

We're on a mission to reduce waste. In 2020, Avocado became the first bedding company to have its Landfill Waste Diversion rated Validated by UL. In 2021, we developed more products made with upcycled materials to further limit our waste. Now, we have an entire line of furniture made with upcycled wood remnants from our Los Angeles facility. By being intentional about our materials and manufacturing, we’ve achieved an overall waste diversion rate of 78%. Our goal is to achieve our Zero Waste to Landfill certification by recycling more than 80% of our waste. Implementing zero-waste practices and reducing our environmental impact is essential if we want to make meaningful strides in the fight against climate change and ensure a better, healthier planet for future generations.
