Each Avocado Foundation is built with a solid wood frame and reinforced for durability — designed to replace a traditional bed frame. The Standard Foundation handles up to 600 pounds with ease. The Heavy Duty Foundation, on the other hand, is a reinforced powerhouse that supports up to 2,000 pounds. It's the ideal base for our Extra-Firm Mattress or any sleep setup where unyielding support is crucial.

The Low Profile version stands 3.5 inches tall, making it ideal for taller mattresses or a more modern, minimalist look. It’s perfect for those who prefer a lower bed height or have limited vertical space. The Standard Profile, at 7.25 inches tall, offers a more traditional bed height — ideal for lower-profile mattresses or anyone looking to add height and presence to their bed.

Our foundation is GREENGUARD Gold Certified by UL Environment for low emissions, just like each of our mattresses. That means they meet acceptable standards for emissions.

Fast. Simple. No tools needed. Both foundation types are designed for straightforward, stress-free setup. Just lock the outer rails together, insert the pins, install the center or cross supports, and roll out the slatted top. Done in minutes — no extra hardware required.

The standard height is 7.25 inches; the low-profile height is 3.5 inches.
Slats & Center Rails:
Up to 14 slats (2 packs or 7 slats) are 2" wide, placed 3.25" apart, and 11/16" thick. Standard has 1 center rail for all sizes. Heavy Duty has 1 center rail for Twin, Twin XL, and Full. 2 center rails for Queen, King, and California King. Wood is sourced from spruce, Pine, and fir in the USA.

Shipping & Delivery
Our foundation ships via FedEx in convenient, compact packaging. If you order your foundation with one of our mattresses and choose our optional in-home delivery service, we'll also set up your foundation for you (within the continental U.S. only).

PROJECT ZERO WASTE
We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this.
